Happy Tree Necklace

Happy Tree Necklace

A customer wrote to me saying that she would like very much to have one of my wall art.
The strangest thing was to discover that she would like to use it as... a necklace!
Initially it was hard for me, could think in a different way something that I created.
But isn't it the power of imagination?
There are artists who do not like working on commission and there are artists who just want their works to be admired.
It can be loved or hated.
This is what they want.
Point.
There is no other way to go.

Happy Tree Necklace

Instead I wanted to try to see things..."beyond".
I really enjoyed experimenting.
After all I love the things extravagant and bizarre.
I always thought a pendant as a small and discrete object hanging to the neck.
Oh, yes.I've always thought of a small accessory.
After this latest work, I decided to create something bigger and so was born ... Happy Tree Necklace.
I love also mix techniques and so I enjoyed applying cutouts of felt and little balls.
I assure you it is much much much better than in photography.

Viking Day

Viking brooch

When I was at Abilmente 2011,I could admire some beautiful pins and magnets made with the das.
It was funny faces and many people on the web reproduce them, inspired by the strange intersections of animals and women, or simply faces of gnomes or people's faces too.
So I also wanted to try, looking for a kind inspired by the Vikings, to be able to make a series.
I used my usual polymer clay.
I do not like very much the das ...it is more complicated to model.
I also engaged in research of names to be given to them.
Those that I used are the names inspired by Lexdale Saga, male and female's names.
I'm also working to complete their faces with cute brooches inspired to their viking's accessories.
Oh, it would be delicious as magnets too.
I also tried to cure the package.
I cut the cards, drawing by hand their struggle's object and their name.
Would not you like to spend one day as Viking?
