Imaginary friend

Bunny

Some theories suggest that, whenever we think about something, it becomes real. This scares me enough, but this only happens when I became an adult.
Am I an incomplete child or am I an half adult?
Sometimes I ask to myself this, but no one answers to this question.
The reason is that I don’t have an imaginary friend and I believe that only children can have it.
Adults can only create their own alter ego to confide in and keep each other company. Or, like me, surrender to the art and to the creative process to shape their imaginary friends.
Viola is a little girl (Nicola’s friend) and for two years she was always in friendship with Matteo, her imaginary friend.
I had the luck to meet him and the dumb luck to push him on the swing.
Oh, well ... your eyes would see that I pushed an empty swing, but then Matteo has few friends (maybe you are not among them :-)

My friend Bunny

Aria tranquilla, serena, pacifica.

Buon we!

The imaginary friend has specific characteristics, sometimes a super power, its character and its flaws, and he must never be overlooked.
I’m depressed over losing the creative magic as a child, and so I created my imaginary friend.
I noticed that when I think to have one, I see it always incarnate the shape of a rabbit.
And thus was born Bunny, my imaginary friend.
Looks calm, serene, peaceful.

Practically everything I need it most in this time.
Happy we!

My sweet Rapunzel

Rapunzel

Rapunzel

Today I completed the registration form for Nicola’s kindergarten.
I had to complete also the line where I write my job.
It 's strange.
I had to write "housewife" which is correct and accepted by the society (in a written module).
It 's considered as a work, but it is unpaid.
It would have been right write whatever I do.
And who knows how many people like me!
I should write housewife, oh, yeah ...
And then: mom, artist, photographer, seamstress, friend, chef and… woman!
In short, a whole person.
Housewife sounds a bit reductive.Don’t you think?
Sometimes I feel myself as a sort of Wonder Woman… (who lives her double identity as a secret, of course!)
Fortunately to keep me company ... there is Rapunzel that know something about freedom and limits!
Free Rapunzel!
Let's free ourselves, our creativity, our Rapunzel in the tower.
Let us know as we are, as we deserve anywhere, anytime.

E chissà quante persone come me!
Io avrei dovuto scrivere: casalinga, oh, certo...
E poi: mamma, artista, fotografa,sarta,amica,cuoca e... donna!

Rapunzel

My sweet little doll is modeled in airdrying clay, while her dress, hair and all parts are made of paper.
While I created I really have seen her come alive with the magic touch that often I find just admiring the works of other artists.
And much more is under construction.
But it's right to let a little space to all the other jobs I do :-)

E molto altro è in preparazione.

How the story emerges

Book

"A story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end...but not necessary in that order."
Jean-Luc Godard

Jean-Luc Godard

Today I enjoyed doing an exercise suggested in this book.
This exercise is useful to stimulate creativity, when this is below zero.
Round the corners of a few pieces of paper, in an irregular way (Hooray, stop using stereotypes!).Folds in half and stitching: a fabulous little book is ready to draw our story.

Collage

Begin to draw on any page of the book.
With irregular borders is possible that part of the drawing continues in the next or previous pages.
So it remains as a track to work on and magically, the story takes shape.
This is my story:
A girl tries to jump in the wind ... wants to fly.
She tries and tries again, but fails.
A green bird sees and understands that she wants to fly.
For fly you need wings.
The bird offers to take the girls on himself and so the bird realizes her wish: now she can fly!

Wings

"If someone has any idea where I ended up, please let me know.
It would be nice to discover where I live, who I am and maybe have a chat with myself ...."
P.s The story is clearly autobiographical.
And now psychoanalyze me as well.

P.s La storia è chiaramente autobiografica.
E ora psicoanalizzatemi pure.
